1. Wash Less

I am pretty sure we have all heard this one! Washing to often strips your hair of its natural oils, causing dryness which leads to breakage. Try to wash every 2-3 days. If needed, use dry shampoo in between washes or style in a bun, top knot, or pony tail.

2. Wet Brush

The magical hairbrush for wet hair! This brush has finer bristles than most, making it able to glide through wet hair easily. They are extra bendy and designed to get through tough spots without ripping the hair.

3. Rinse Conditioner with Cool Water

As pleasing as this sounds… rinsing out your conditioner with cool water has benefits! Cold water closes the cuticles and pores in the scalp causing the cuticle cells to lay down on top of each other presenting a smooth and shiny appearance. Also, it eliminates dandruff and reduces frizz!

4. Use a Microfiber Towel or Old T-shirt to Dry Your Hair

Using a microfiber towel removes the need to rub your hair to dry it. Microfiber has ultra-fine fibers that absorb more than bath towels. The smaller fibers also decrease frizziness and breakage.

5. Less Heat

Using less heat is a big one. Something to help when using any sort of hot tool is heat protectant. Or turn the heat down as much as possible, 200 to 300 degree range is ideal. Also, air dry instead of blow dry!

6. Hair Mask

SO important! Especially if you use heat a few times a week. Hair mask are my best friend. Use at least once a week, but if your hair seems really dry or more damaged than normal then increase to two or three times weekly.

NOW, I hope we all come out of 2020 with the best hair possible! Lol. Try these tips for a few weeks and see the difference. It’s amazing!
