Everyone has those days where they feel down, sad, discouraged, or depressed. Maybe something happened recently in your personal life, stressed about work, or just down right sad for no reason. Believe me, I have these days more than I care to admit.
But for you these feelings wont last forever. You will get out of your funky mood sooner than you think!
Here are 5 ways to boost your mood so you are able to feel your best again!
1. Watch a light-hearted movie or show
You might just need a good laugh or a good cry. Get your mind off things by turning on your favorite movie with your go-to snack. Chick-flicks & popcorn are always my first choice! Usually they are funny, sad, and happy moments all wrapped in one. My favorites are ‘The Notebook’, ‘Mean Girls’, ‘Legally Blonde’, ‘Sweet Home Alabama’, and any ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ movies!
2. Listen to music
I am all about music. It is good for the soul. Turn on tunes with upbeat vibes and just dance! Or not, but no one is watching. Lol!
3. Exercise or move your body
AKA – dance! Maybe go for a walk, jog, or bike ride. Produce happy endorphins! & not only will it make you feel better but you won’t feel guilt after you eat that second cookie tonight. 😂
4. Take a social media break
Yes, social media is great to connect with friends and family but it can be a little depressing when you’re seeing everyone else’s fun. Disconnecting from time to time is very healthy!
This is my all time favorite. So easy-going, fun, exciting, and the outcome is delicious! Lol. Baking can take your mind off so much since you’re focusing on how many cups of flour you’ve already dumped in. Or haven’t… Here is my Pinterest, I have tons of recipes!
6. Make a list of what you’re grateful for
A change in perspective is sometimes all you need. Listing out what you have and what you’re grateful for is eyeopening and can really decrease negative energy you are feeling.
